One of the most elegant Ferrari’s we’ve ever seen: a very rare and original 1973 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2. The car that seems to have invented the term 'art on wheels'.
The 365 GT4 2+2 model is the first of a whole series, consisting the 400, 400 i and finally the 412. Looking at the original, the 365, only 524 of them were built during the period 1972-1976.
This however, is one of the most beautiful GT4’s out there. The Italian is hardly resistible, with its matching numbers, original equipment, impeccable condition and complete maintenance history. Since the grand tourer was registered back in January 1973, the car has been in possession of only 3 owners. In 44 years! The first two lucky ones were Italian, while the former owner is a loyal (Dutch) client of Wim Prins. The fact that they found it very difficult to let their gorgeous classic go, explains why they have had the Ferrari for so long.
Moreover, you can see the passion for the car in its stunning condition. This dark blue pearl is perfectly maintained. The paperwork is also included, so you can look into the service history any time. Even the original tool kit is still there! Truly unique. The last maintenance service dates from 2017; this includes the engine, air conditioning, chassis and cooling system. Of course with the utmost care.
Interior & exterior
The 365 can be recognized by its straight lines with sharp angles, a long hood at the front and a large overhang at the back. Characterizing for the model are the 6 separate round tail lights. The attractiveness of the coachwork, designed by Leonardo Fioravanti (employed by Pininfarina at that time) is of the highest level.
The dark blue lacquer is like the ultimate reflection of the timeless body and style of this Ferrari. You are looking at the original color, which had a completely new varnish 15 years ago, to give it back the shine she deserves.
The interior is just as original, tasteful and impeccable. The beige leather upholstery has been entirely re-coated by a genuine specialist. Every little detail looks brand new and yet so classy. Now this is what we call pure craftsmanship.
And what is a Prancing Horse without real horsepower? In front there’s a longitudinally-placed V12, linked to a manual gearbox. With a capacity of 4.4 liters, the 12 cylinders deliver 340 hp at 6,200 rpm. Although this Ferrari can be driven in a sporty way too, the GT4 is especially suitable for comfortable rides and long distances. Like an unadulterated GT.
Kind regards, Prins Classics.
