Ferrari 456 GT

Looking for an impressive, timeless grand tourer? Look no further: it won’t get any more impressive and timeless than a Ferrari 456 GT! And that’s exactly why those two extra letters in the model name are completely deserved. Immerse the - according to experts - by far most elegant Ferrari of the 90s (and maybe ever made) in a bath filled with dark blue lacquer and you’ve got every reason to drive an Italian V12. What else is new…

History & maintenance

By the way, you can take that "Italian" part very literally, because this stunning model was newly delivered by official Ferrari dealer Rossocorsa in Milan back in 1995. The 1st owner didn’t have to reach far from home to make his dream come true: the history tells us that he was living in Busto Arsizio at the time: a town located below Lake Maggiore - near (the circuit of) Monza. Whether the 456 has done any laps on the famous Italian track? Well, it didn’t leave a mark on this beauty anyhow.
Maintenance was also carried out close to home: until 2000, the delivering dealer provided the service too. The last maintenance in Italy dates from 2009. In April 2012, la bella Italia was exchanged for the Netherlands. At that moment only 68,168 kilometers were driven. The last service is barely a thousand kilometers ago, as all the documents and invoices clarify.

Exterior & design

We’re completely speechless when seeing a Ferrari 456 GT. Especially in a chic body color like Blu Swaters. Add to that the superb condition, and you would almost forget it’s car and it has driven before. Feel free to consider it art, the classic 2+2 Ferrari is THAT gorgeous!
The structure, the graceful curvatures, the naturally integrated air inlets and many other super tasty details; with the 456, famous designer Pininfarina was once again able to deliver like no other. The fact that the Ferrari is also impressive in size, means you literally and figuratively can’t ignore this flagship from the 90s. Like we would’ve want to anyway…

Interior & technique

Taking a seat in the 456 GT is a unique experience as well. The classically and clean designed dashboard, with its many analogue clocks (chrome rimmed) and extremely wide center console between the two royal seats, feels like sitting on a throne. We have news for you: no royal highness that has as much cachet as this Ferrari!
The Nero leather interior includes beautiful Grigio Scuro carpets. But it’s the milled aluminum shift pattern that takes your breath away. Knowing this part has an important contribution to the characteristic, unparalleled driving experience of the Ferrari V12, really triggers the feeling of enjoying something “big”. Speaking of "big": the majestic 12-cylinder has a capacity of 5.5 liters and produces 442 hp without being assisted by turbo power. However, we long for extra oxygen when the top speed of 310 km/h turns out to be really achievable. The great GT sounds even more intense thanks to the presence of a genuine sports exhaust. So, ready to head for the Temple of Speed anyway?
